Circa 1872: Manufactured by Cromwell, Connecticut's J and E Stevens Company, the 5 1/2"H x 4 3/8"W x 4 3/8"D cast iron Home Bank features a patriotic red, white, and blue paint scheme and is the very scarce still bank variation of its widely distributed mechanical cousin. The bank retains over 90% of its original paint with no touch ups, and its only apology is that it is missing a very thin and almost unnoticable 7/8" long sliver from the roof top edge on the back side. Other than that, this wonderful still bank is in pristine condition with great pinstriped highlights and no other issues.
