Circa 1873: Manufactured by Cromwell, Connecticut's J and E Stevens Company and dated "Oct. 1st 1873" on the back, the 5 1/2"H x 4 1/4"W x 3 3/8"D cast iron City Bank with Crown features an extremely scarce green building with white trim, the rarest of its six color variations. The bank retains approximately 85% percent of its original paint with no touch ups, and its only apology is that it has a small chip to one of the side plates as photographed. Other than that, this handsome architectural still bank is in excellent condition with beautiful original paint and no other issues. This color variant of the City Bank with Crown still bank rarely comes to market, and this is a great opportunity to add a nice one to your collection.
