Circa 1870-1890: This wonderful one gallon stoneware pitcher with freehand cobalt wavy stripe decoration stands nearly 11" tall and is attributed to Palatine, West Virginia. The pitcher is in excellent condition with a few minor nicks to the collar band as photographed and no other chips, cracks, or repairs. Stripers are highly desirable in today's collecting market, and pitchers with freehand stripes are scarce, rarely coming up for sale on the open market. Provenance: Ex Audrey and Larry Marpole
