2 Gallon Morgantown WV Stoneware Storage Jar

Circa 1870: Stoneware manufactured at Morgantown, West Virginia's Thompson Pottery is tough to find and always coveted by the region's collectors. This two gallon storage jar stands 11.5" tall and is adorned with the Thompson family's signature freehand ferns. The jar is in great conditon with one small flake to the inside rim, minor glaze wear to the top of the rim, and factory firing anomolies as made but is otherwise undamaged with no cracks or repairs. This is a nice piece of Morgantown West Virginia stoneware.
