Circa 1907: Designed by Charles A. Bailey for the J. & E. Stevens Company in Cromwell, Connecticut the same year as the ever popular Teddy and The Bear bank, the Indian Shooting Bear mechanical bank is an American Classic. This example features the scarce white bear and is completely original, including the oft replaced feathers. With over 90% of its original paint intact and without touchup, chips, cracks, or repairs, this Indian Shooting Bear from the esteemed Haley Collection is in untouched condition with a beautiful patinated surface that would probably clean to an even higher grade should the next owner choose to do that. It will be very difficult to find a finer example of the white bear variation on the open market, and we are excited to offer this fantastic bank for public sale.
