Circa 1930s: Founded in 1898, Lancaster, Pennsylvania's Hubley Company manufactured a bevy of cast iron toys, such as still and mechanical banks and animal drawn toys (among many other things), but the historic firm has garnered its most lasting fame from their line of realistic toy Harley-Davidson and Indian motorcycles. This classic green 9" Harley-Davidson side car motorcycle impressed Hubley, 4B, and 1740 on the bottom has no chips, cracks, repairs, or touch-ups and is in all original condition including paint, tires, removable cop riders, handle bars, and clicking mechanism. The paint on this great toy Harley exhibits good honest typical playwear, and the original marked tires are in unusually nice shape.
