Circa 1820s: Niagara Falls has long been a spot of romance for the American people, and this ample 14 5/8" x 11 5/8" dark blue transferware platter with shell border was manufactured for the American market by English firm Enoch Wood and Sons and depicts Niagara from the American Side. The platter is in excellent condition with typical short light knife marks, a couple minor glaze nicks, and no chips, cracks, or repairs. This highly desirable American view of our storied honeymoon attraction would be a perfect wedding or anniversary gift or a fantastic addition to your own collection.
