Circa Mid 20th Century: This folksy glass-eyed 13" long bluebill drake decoy was definitley hunted over because the the beak has some shotgun pellet holes typical of decoys used on the water and there are a few pellets embedded in the head. This working decoy has nicely done comb painting on its back, and its unique angular head has carved details that delineate its beak. We believe the surface to be in original or very old working paint decoration. This is an attractive and solid old decoy, the genuine article.
