Circa 1st Quarter 20th Century: Staunton, Virginia, native Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) served as America's 28th President from 1913 to 1921 and guided our nation through the difficulties of WWI and into the roaring twenties. Measuring 13.5"H including its 8" square original hand chamfered base, this exquisitely carved rock maple bust portrays a professionally suited realistic interpretation of Wilson staring stoically ahead through the first world war and into the ever uncertain future. Condition is excellent with a fine original patinated surface and only typical minor wear commensurate with age and use.
