Chas. P. Miller Wheeling WV Merchant Cream Jar

Circa 1880s: This 8" tall one gallon Southwestern Pennsylvania stoneware cream jar was manufactured for Wheeling, West Virginia, general merchant Charles P. Miller. Merchant wares were ordered in multiple forms and sizes from over 100 business owners in Wheeling alone, and it is nice to find a cream jar, which is more unusual that the standard wax sealer or storage crock. This jar is in good condition with a light stencil and a minor tight crow's foot under the decoration and no chips or repairs.
