Circa 1926-1928: The 8" Improved Chevrolet Sedan manufactured by Freeport, Illinois cast iron toy giant Arcade is a very scarce vehicle in any condition, and to find one in all orginal near mint condition (including paint) with no missing parts or replacements and no chips, cracks, or repairs is downright rare. This handsome four color blue and black sedan with silver radiator accents and gold headlights includes a nickel plated spare tire and rubber wheels marked "The Republic Rubber Co. Youngstown O." Republic Rubber was founded in 1901 and specialized in car tires and rubber hoses. There are a few very minute nicks in the paint and minor flat spots on the tires from sitting on the shelf, but this great early cast iron car will be especially difficult to upgrade and is a top notch by any standards.
