Circa 1905: Manufactured in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, by the little known firm Ober Manufacturing Company, this rare 5" tall The Capitalist sociopolitical themed still bank depicts a scowling gentleman who has grown fat on the money he has amassed from average working class citizens and serves as a stern reminder to save one's pennies and not to become a wasteful spendthrift by overfeeding the capitalist machine. This highly elusive penny bank is the deluxe black jacket version rather than the standard gold jacket version and retains its original screw and 80% of its original paint, which is excellent for a bank of this scarcity.
