Antique Schoenhut Lion with Glass Eyes

Circa 1903-1918: This 8" long regular size Schoenhut lion with glass eyes and carved mane is the most desirable of the lions made for the famous Schoenhut Circus. This lion is all original, including the tail but does show minor play loss to the tip of the face as photographed. Schoenhut's glass-eyed animals were produced until approximately 1918 when they were discontinued and replaced with the less expensive painted eye versions.
