Outcault, author of the famous comic strip The Yellow Kid, created Buster Brown in 1902, and, by 1904, Buster and his trusty sidekick Tige, along with his sister Mary Jane, were chosen as the mascots of the Brown Show Company. as the This Buster Brown and Tige still bank retains approximately 50-60 percent of its original paint and has its original screw.
