Original Blue Swing Handled Basket

Circa 1920s: Original blue painted baskets are scarce and desirable, and this nicely sized swing handled farm basket boasts dry original worn blue paint, which is just how we like to find them. Measuring 13.5" wide by 9.5" tall and 17" to the top of the extended handle, this striking early 20th century factory made woooden splint basket is constructed with rivets and round nails (all long oxidized) and painted inside and out. Condition is excellent with no breaks or repairs, but there is expected scattered minor loss commensurate with age and use and some old typical white paint spattering that helps authenticate this fine blue basket's untouched honest surface.
