Circa 1937-1943: The Homer Laughlin China Company's Fiestaware relish tray is one of the highlights of the mix and match tableware ensemble with seemingly endless color combinations, giving collectors the opportunity to create interesting variations that underscore their personal decorating tastes. This vintage six color relish tray showcases the cool Fiesta colors by prominently pairing a turquoise base with an original green center insert, bathing the first six Fiesta glazes in a subtle and refreshing light.
The red insert is unmarked and was made on the ram press, and all the other pieces are impressed with HLCC's famous Fiesta logo. Please note that this tray does have some minor condition issues: light scratching on the inside of the base, heat crazing on the ivory insert, and a glaze rub on the back side of the cobalt insert where it meets the base's inside wall. These superficial issues do not detract from the beauty of this handsome Fiesta relish tray made in Newell, West Virginia, and we have it priced to sell.
There are no cracks, repairs, or defects other than what we have noted on this cooly colored six piece art deco relish tray.
