Circa 1938-1940: Pottery collectors can appreciate the scarcity of pieces produced for short amounts of time, and the syrup pitcher made for the fiesta tableware line is truly one such piece. This example boasts the early handle that nearly touches the base, which is nicely marked with a crisp Homer Laughlin Company symbol followed by "fiesta MADE IN USA".
As if finding a single piece of pottery made for a mere two years in the 1930s isn't hard enough, examples in the ivory glaze will prove even harder to find than the other five fiesta colors the short lived piece is made in. Working lids in good, undamaged condition are also hard to find, and this lid, although with a few marks on it's surface, is working well, without cracks or breaks and a good matching color to the base.
