Circa 1936-1946: Measuring a generous 12 1/2"D x 3 1/2"H , the footed comport transforms dinnerware to art pottery when used on the table. Its slip cast foot would have been hand tooled on a jiggering machine and then hand joined to the bowl before it was dipped in the glaze and fired in the kiln. This example in the Homer Laughlin China Company's famous first original green glaze is in excellent condition with a great surface that shows no chips, cracks, repairs. This is a fine collector quality piece of West Virginia pottery, and it's guaranteed to please.
