Vintage Fiesta 12" Ivory Flower Vase

Circa 1936-1942: When one holds a 12" Vintage Fiesta flower vase in one's hands and feels the vase's size and heft, the person will no doubt understand why this piece towers above the rest of the dinnerware line and grandly takes center stage as Frederick Rhead's most elegantly designed piece. The 12" Fiestaware vase was only produced for six years and is extremely hard to find in collector quality condition.

This spectacular example in the original rich old ivory glaze vellum glaze has no chips, cracks, or repairs, its only apology being a minor glazed over factory mold flaw about the size of a pencil tip on the side of the vase, and one has to search to find it. (Shown in the photo above at about 3 o'clock). The vase itself had to be cast in a complex four part mold created by HLCC's three top notch designers, Berriford, Kraft, and Watkin, who obviously outdid themselves in making Rhead's sketches come to life.
