Circa April 1935: Measuring only 10" wide and 3" high (compared to the standard 12" high produced version), this early prototype for the Fiestaware line of the footed comport is one of the few known examples of the trial run of the comport. The larger 12" comport would end up being released with the general line in 1936, and this smaller experiment would be (or should have been) forgotten. It's a pleasure to offer such a rare example of the early creations from Homer Laughlin and Frederick Rhead. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs and only minor factory anomalies.
