Single Reindeer Hubley Santa Sleigh

Circa 1930s: The crossover appeal of this spectacular 15" long Hubley single reindeer drawn Santa Sleigh between antique cast iron toy collectors and holiday collectors is undeniable, and this beautiful cast iron toy is in excellent original condition, retaining 95% of its original rich, vibrant paint, all its wheels, and the original Santa figure with articulated arms. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, or replacements, and the only thing missing are the reins, which are always lost to the ravages of time. Note that Hubley's single deer sleigh is harder to find that its double deer cousin and that the single deer sleigh is almost always a brilliant blue while its counterpart is usually white. One can only imagine a child's excitement and delight at finding this reindeer drawn sleigh under the tree, and one can understand why not many of these wonderful Christmas toys have survived, especially in such excellent condition.
