Antique Market Basket in Original Gray Paint

Circa 1890-1920: Measuring 7.5" high to the rim and having an overall height of just uner 14", a 15.5" length and an 10" rim width, this sturdy market basket in a striking and unusual original dry dark gray paint is in excellent condition with inconsequential expected wear to the painted surface, one minor loss to an inside rim weaver, and three minor breaks on the bottom from typical shelf wear commensurate with age and honest utilitarian use. This is a superb country basket fresh from an old time Virginia picker's personal collection, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to offer it on the open market.
