Boy Scout Camp Cast Iron Mechanical Bank

Fine Patriotic Americana: Original Flag & No Repairs

Circa 1912-1917:¬†The Boy Scout Camp Bank does not often find its way to the open marketplace, and this wonderful example of the scarce and complex J. & E. Stevens Company masterpiece mechanical bank is attributed to highly acclaimed bank designer Charles A. Bailey and celebrates the 1910 formation of The Boy Scouts of America. The bank’s exact production date is yet a matter of debate, but mechanical bank scholars agree that the bank was manufactured sometime between 1912 and 1917, the year following Congress’s historic¬†June 15, 1916 charter of the Boy Scouts. This large and imposing mechanical bank makes a bold statement in any collection, and this example has perfectly working action, no chips, cracks, or repairs, and a fine untouched original painted surface. The Boy Scout Camp Bank’s patriotic flag raising action is sure to put a pleasing smile on its new owner’s face and, like all of our items, comes 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
