Antique Double-Sided Porcelain Greyhound Lines Bus Depot Sign

1930s Veri-Brite Signs Chicago

This fabulous circa 1930s 36" x 20 1/2" double-sided porcelain three-color Greyhound Lines sign is one of the great iconic American advertising pieces of the 20th century. The previous owner purchased this superb sign when the original contents of the Carlisle, Illinois, Greyhound bus depot were auctioned off approximately twenty-five years ago, where the sign had hung since its manufacture during the great depression. This orange, blue, and white double-sided porcelain sign with the full-bodied running greyhound rarely comes up for public sale and would compliment even the finest collection of antique Amercan advertising or Americana.
